Ardattin 200, Hollywood 300

I’ve added a map and notes for the Ardattin 200 and a map for the Hollywood 300. See the Route Index for these.

I’ve also decided that where there is a map and notes, it doesn’t make much sense to put the routesheet up as there is a reasonable chance of the sheet being modified from year to year, and you should get the most up-to-date version from the organiser when you enter the event. I will leave the routesheets up where I haven’t mapped and written-up the route.

Pink Elephant 200

I’ve added a map, routesheet and notes for the Pink Elephant which you can access from the route index. There are definitely errors in the map (the provider of the gps file admitted to having gone off course three times on the day) but it should be close enough to give an idea.

Les Randonneurs Mondiaux

Les Randonneurs Mondiaux have conducted a (long-overdue) revamp of their website and it’s now considerably easier to read. LRM is the body that administers all brevets of 1200+km in length (except for PBP) and perhaps the first thing you’ll want to look at is the calendar which lists an impressive number of long rides – Hokkaido in July anyone?

Fleche Irlandaise

We have approval from ACP and Easter weekend 2010 will see the first Flèche Irlandaise. The flèche is a team 24-hour audax where each team devises its own route, finishing at a common meeting point. In 2010 this will be Dublin – I expect that it will rotate in years to come. You can find more information and rules on the Flèche page.

Lumpy 200 Mapped

The routesheet for John C’s Lumpy 200 arrived and I’ve had a shot at mapping it on Bikeroutetoaster. Accuracy, as ever, is not guaranteed – I’m hoping post-ride examination of someone’s GPS will clear up any hazy points. I believe entry is closed for this one, but he will be running it again on the 23rd of January (evidently he picked up some of that Scottish parsimony in his years there.) I have to admit, I think this is going to be quite demanding at this late (or early) in the season.
